AutoStore is a robot technology company that invented and continues to pioneer Cube Storage Automation. The company is global with 500 installations in over 30 countries in a wide range of industries. An important part of their everyday work is to reduce costs and increase benefits in the use of new technology and digitization. AutoStore has therefore decided to collaborate with Novorender by using our dynamic 3D visualization tool for their service and support as well as Academy internal and partner training.
Remote training, service and support
AutoStore went from >100 days of travelling to next to nothing in just a few months, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Their travels used to mainly consist of training their partners to support, install and commission the AutoStore system. With the restrictions in travel that appeared, they had to look at other viable solutions to give their partners and customers the support that is needed. By using Novorender they could provide all the AutoStore modules in one place at their academy, so that they could do specialized training, service and support based on module needs.

Step-by-step guides for training, service, support and more
AutoStore wanted a tool that could merge all of their storage modules into a single 3D view, being able to scale as they add more modules and to be available via the web browser. In that way they would be able to create manuals and step-by-step guides for tasks such as installation, service, repair and much more, that could be shared with employees, partners, customers and more. It was also important for them that the 3D model could serve as a digital twin that could be connected to 3rd party systems with manuals, parts overviews and so forth if needed.
